Gyokuro Uji, also known as 'pearl of dew', is one of the best teas in Japan.

This 'tea from the garden of the master' is unique and its quality is unparalleled. The tea grows in the garden of a 70 year old tea master. He controls and takes care of the garden every single day and makes sure that every step of the growing and production processes are exact. Gyokuro is shaded in the spring for 21 days, hand-picked and manually rolled.

This production process is very cumbersome and time consuming, that´s why the tea master produces only a few kilos a year. The dark green tea leaves are very thick rolled and are of high quality and therefore keep their wonderful aroma even after the 4th and 5th rehash.

Taste: Full-flavoured, noble, bloomy, sweet and smooth.
Preparation: 3g per cup (1 tsp.) /Water temperature 50°- 60° C / infuse ca. 2-3 min.
Tip: Because of its unique quality the tea can be rehashed up to four times.
